Rogue Writers Collective Event Policies
Age Restriction
Unless otherwise noted, all our events are for writers 18+. Our writers delve deep into human experiences, some of which may not be appropriate for younger writers. We are starting to offer youth programs! Please stay tuned for those announcements.
Registration & Refunds
Most of our events are free. But if you register for one of our paid events (such as a workshop or conference), your ticket price helps us plan space, materials, and instructor compensation. If you need to cancel your purchased ticket, please notify us as soon as possible. Refunds may be issued up to 7 days before the event. After that date, you may be able to transfer your ticket to another attendee with advance notice, or we may be able to refund your ticket price as a donation. Please contact us to see what is possible.
Respectful Community Conduct
Rogue Writers Collective is committed to creating welcoming, respectful spaces for writers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Participants are expected to treat presenters, volunteers, and fellow attendees with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Accessibility
RWC strives to make our events as accessible as possible. If you require accommodations—such as mobility access, seating needs, or a sign-language interpreter—please contact us in advance so we can do our best to assist.
Workshop Participation
Our workshops are designed to be supportive, collaborative learning environments. Participants are encouraged to engage fully, listen respectfully, and provide constructive feedback when appropriate.
Event Changes
Occasionally, circumstances require changes to schedules, presenters, or event details. Rogue Writers Collective reserves the right to make adjustments if necessary while maintaining the overall quality and spirit of the event.
Intellectual Property
Participants retain full ownership of their creative work. Please respect the privacy and originality of others’ writing shared during workshops.
Photography & Media
Photographs and videos may be taken during Rogue Writers Collective events for use in our promotional materials, website, newsletters, and social media. By attending the event, participants acknowledge that their image may appear in these materials. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let a staff member know when you arrive and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
