Our Journey So Far
Rogue Writers Collective is building a thriving literary community in Southern Oregon! The Challenge
Before RWC, Southern Oregon had no regional literary arts organization providing sustained opportunities for writers to learn, publish, and build community. Writers were often left to work in isolation or travel hundreds of miles, at significant personal expense, to access the literary resources routinely available in larger cities. While other art forms had established support systems across the region, literary arts remained a critical gap in Southern Oregon’s cultural infrastructure.
The Vision
RWC strives to be a home for all creative writers in Southern Oregon. Through education, publication, and community, our goal is for any writer to find their creative home and see their dreams realized. Whether you see yourself on the NY Times Bestseller List or just want to start a simple daily writing practice, we are here for you. And we believe in the power of the literary arts to contribute to the local creative economy, making Southern Oregon a destination for all writers.
